GTA1 allowed players to put there character on the roof tops, this functionality could be achieved using a progressive riser box3 intersection in THREE.js, when on the roof tops falling off should cause death, then pause before falling through the ground 2.5D

An example of the performance of the GTA1 game play style, as some people may remember GTA1 was not fully 3d. The amount of drift may need a little more tweeking. the box is an example of potential buildings.

THREE.js 2.5D Physics with p2.js

This is an example of 2.d physics on a box geometry, remember we can still move the camera around the 3d scene. but the collisions are 2d only which has it's benefits and down falls. by doing this maybe we can get Firefox fast enough for games. http://davidclews.com/resources/programming/threejs/2.5...

This is an example of the howler.js project triggering a sound effect when intersecting a three.js box3 with a sphere.
